Pyramid Rec Centre Tenders

Tenders for the construction of the Pyramid Rec Centre will be opened today at 4pm at the Town Hall. St Marys Council will award the contract at the June 27 council meeting.

At a March 9, 2006 public meeting it was estimated that the tenders would come in at about $13.3 million. With contingencies and additional fees the actual cost to St Marys is expected to be $16 million.

This week's editions of the Journal Argus and the Independent have another letter objecting to the project, this time from Jack Coddington. There have been many such letters over the last two years many of which are at stmarysont.250free.com

Stick Swinging in St Marys

Morris Dancing St Marys Ontario
Last year the Morris Men of New Hampshire came to St Marys Ontario and their stick swinging blows could be heard for blocks. This year the London Morris Ale is in front of the Creamery ale-house at 10 this Sunday morning. The wenches that make up St Marys Northwest Morris Dancers will be adding a little decorum.
