Online Petition
A local group is trying to raise funds to hire a lawyer to begin the injunction process to stop the construction of the Pyramid Recreation Centre. As part of the effort they have a petition that reads:
To: St Marys Town Council and Ontario Municipal Affairs
I ask the Council of St. Marys to delay construction on the Pyramid Project until an independent body confirms the Town can afford the expenditure and the community can have a public discussion and vote whether they want the project to proceed.
The online version of the petition is at www.petitiononline.com/07182006/.
The reasons for the petition are outlined in a letter by Andrew Atlin to the St Marys Journal Argus.
