
At yesterday's council meeting a $398,800 tender to expand the museum was approved. 63 square metres (700 square feet) of new public space and 108 square metres (1,200 square feet) of new storage space will be created. The original limestone house was built in 1859 and has been the museum since 1959. More on

6 December 2005, the town of St Marys was given a grant from the Ontario government of $35,000 over six months to install a shaft and elevator for full accessibility to all areas of the museum.
